Professor Osswald is one of the world's most prestigious plastics engineers, having published several authoritative texts on polymer processing and molding that have been translated into six languages He has spent significant time working at the Institute for Plastic Processing in Aachen, Germany and has received the National Science Foundation's Presidential Young Investigator Award. Professor Osswald serves as a consultant for several major companies in the plastic industry, including SIMTEC Silicone Parts. Alejandro Roldán is a research assistant at the Polymer Engineering Center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Alejandro received his BS in Biomedical Engineering from the EIA - CES Universities in Medellín, Colombia, his MS in Polymer Engineering and Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has received his PhD in August of 2008, in Polymer Processing, Modeling and Simulation of Physiological Flows. Alejandro Roldán has lectured in polymer processing and designing with polymers at the university and industry level. He has published 8 distinguished papers, and co-authored the book Plastics Testing and Characterization.
